Easter Eggs (maybe Dinosaur Eggs)

We are getting together with family tomorrow for easter. My 2 1/2 year-old nephew is crazy about dinosaurs. Have you ever heard a 2 year-old say dip-lo-do-kus with such authority that you feel like you have nothing left to teach him? Well, that’s how he is.

We are going to have an easter egg hunt. I dyed some eggs today. They are supposed to be dinosaur eggs. One looks like a Rastafarisoraus egg for sure. But my favourite are the crazy two-tone spirals. Diplodocus, maybe?

Rivers are dynamic. They do not stay within a nice, human defined channel. They are alive and we disrespect them at our peril.

Playtime
This is a photo my sister took while she and my two-year old nephew were playing out at our cabin. A pretty sweet set-up these guys got. Be careful of the blackbear!

My dads adventure van.

That last picture is basically a blueprint of my life. We had no television but I always had a book.

I bought an old suburban, hollowed out the back and lived in it for 5 years so I could travel anytime, anywhere. Even when I had a well paying professional job(network admin) for 3 of those years, I lived in it so I could save enough that I would never have to worry about finances. When I hit that point I happily ditched the corporate life and could afford to get my less paying but childhood dream job of driving a big rig. My sleeping bag and canoe is always handy
